Default The Future of Starship Exeter

I am reposting this from another thread.

Josh, after TTI is finished would you and Jimm consider working with fans to produce authorized "Official Starship Exeter" stories, comics, novels, audio dramas, etc.? You could provide as little or as much input and creative control as you desire, but this would help keep Starship Exeter alive and help satisfy the cravings of its many fans. By posting the work on one of the official Exeter sites you would be giving it your official "stamp of approval" making it Starship Exeter Canon. Everything else would just be fan art, fan fiction, etc.

Not that this counts for much, but I'm thinking the Exeter folks are torn with something like that. I know they'd like to get more stuff out the door, but real life gets in the way (I've written software for free before, so I know what people WANT but it's not realistic). On the other hand, this is their 'baby' and it would be hard to give the 'Exeter' name to somebody, even if temporarily. I don't know if I could.

That being said - I think it's obvious that a lot of folks would love to help out, and I'd like to as well, but unless we have the skills they need right now, I'm thinking we'll all need to just sit tight and be patient.

As a side note (and as something to keep you busy has everybody listened to the podcasts? I'm only up to episode six but that's the best one so far... damnit I was almost pissing my pants in the car. "Starship Momomo" Oh jeeze.... (wipes tears away...) All of them are good though (at least so far!) Good quality, good information, upbeat, humorous and 100% Exeter. Thanks to Scott and everyone else involved, much appreciated!

The latest I've heard, Act IV is still going to be Act IV. ( Like there's some question that it's gonna be renamed "Revenge of Act III" )

See. Not confusing.

Ok, all you TTI fans out there, I can't let the month go by without posting here,"Latest on Act IV????".
I know things are moving forward, just woundering if we could get a percentage completed?
Something like 10% or (dare we say a DATE )

Please sir, may I have some more Kool aid?
To help pass the time, I listened to Steve Martin's autobio on CD,what a ride! To hear this 'Wlild and crazy guy' tell his own story, speed bumps and all, "My Grandmothers Song", "Well EXCUUUUUUUUUUUUESSSSSSSSS Me!!!!"

Actually, I think this has been done. There is a TAS comic or two and Josh asked me to work on a project. Dang life gets in the way. I am also proceeding with some plans to make something as well, once I've finished Josh's project. I figure, make it, send it to them and let them decide if it is good enough. Meanwhile, nothing is stopping folks from posting stories and ideas here.

Well the last release was 9 months ago. Any word if a new baby is about to be born?

I like the avatar.

I'll check with Jimm Johnson this week to see what stage the rough cut is at.

Dennis, others, I watched the rough cut with jimm this weekend.

All in all you can tell that everything is there and that it will be good, and should be done before the end of this year.

Having said that, it is still rough, and needs plenty more tendar love and care to get it to match the quality of the other acts.

on a slightly diffrent note, but still one of interest to exeter fans, Jimm, Mike Buford and myself sat around a few nights ago at a local bar, had a few pitchers of beer, and talked about plans for the next exeter episode!!!!!!!!!!

We have some pretty good ideas and it looks likley that there will be at least one more show, but time will tell on that one.

There, how is that for everyone waiting on an update!!!!!!!!!!

Now get out there on the net and get me the phone number of that hot andorian chick!!!!!!! LOL

ok, later folks

Mind if I repost that message on TrekBBS (I'll leave out the part about the Andorian chick)? They're always asking for updates about the status of the last act, too.
